Mui Ne, about a 5.5 hour drive from Saigon, is a fishing and resort town on the coast of the South China Sea in Southeastern Vietnam. Our reason for visiting Mui Ne was to see the sand dunes. It was strange (but awesome) to see something mainly associated with African and Middle Eastern countries in the middle of Vietnam. We paid around $3 USD for transport to and from the sand dunes for sunrise. Once you arrive, renting the ATVs are extra. Visiting the red sand dunes and fairy stream were also included in the tour, but I would recommend skipping the red sand dunes. They were dirty, more crowded, and not as impressive as the white sand dunes.

What country has the best sand dunes? I want to see some bigger ones on my next trip!
