Paige and I developed a couple little traditions during our trip. One was that we always made it a point to visit two things in each new destination: markets and bakeries. Whenever we would see a bakery while out and about, it went without saying that we stop there. In Hanoi, we had “our place” where we ate almost every meal. We stayed in Hanoi for a week chilling out before we flew to China, so we got to know the area our hostel was in pretty well. The restaurant even gave us a discount one night because we had been there so much! I definitely recommend Noodle and Roll if you’re in Hanoi, especially the vegetarian spring rolls. They aren’t too heavy or greasy, and are packed with veggies.
Some more scenes from Hanoi
Another of my Hanoi favorites was a Tinder date with a male model…but no pictures of that 🙂
Where to stay in Hanoi:
Central Backpackers Hostel-Original
$6 USD/night
We stayed at the original but there is also a downtown location. The downtown location is where the bar crawl begins.
If you’ve been to Hanoi, what is your favorite memory there?
